SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Submissions Opening Soon!

Agents and authors are invited to send novel-length (60,000+ words) projects to Fredonia Ink Press according to the below submissions guidelines. We are primarily considering novel-length works in crime fiction (mystery, noir, hard-boiled, suspense, thriller, and hybrids of such) but we're also open to other works of interest to the community of crime readers.

Surprise us. Authors submitting their own work should only send completed projects—no unfinished works or pitches. Agents may inquire before sending pitches when a full manuscript is not available.

We tend to prefer books with unique and well-formed prose, on the literary end of the spectrum. We especially like works that fall between genres—something that’s hard to categorize is more likely to win us over than a standard-issue and we appreciate the weirdness or dark fiction.

Fredonia Ink Press Books does not discriminate. We are especially interested in publishing authors from underrepresented backgrounds (including but not limited to race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status/class, age, mental or physical ability, or religion), books with underrepresented characters and settings. Bring it on!

We are only accepting digital submissions. Submissions should be sent to submissions (at) fredoniaink(dot)com. The subject line of your email should start with the text "SUBMISSION:" and include the name of the author(s) and the title of the book. Please include a brief list of notable prior publications and a one-page synopsis of the book in the body of your email. We will contact you if we want to read your manuscript in its entirety. We prefer to receive files in *.docx format.
